La Metralli
Songwriting, Electro Acoustic
The project was born in 2010, a year after the group released the first album “Del mondo che vi lascio” with A Buzz Supreme. Metralli today is Meike Clarelli (vocals, guitar), Marcella Menozzi (acoustic and electric guitar), Davide Fasulo (piano, synth, programming, violin, cello), Cesare Martinelli (drums, percussion) and Christian Pepe (bass and double bass) . Together they give life to an author’s musical project that blends the sounds of popular music with acoustic and electric influences, and to alternate insanity jazz with electronic and experimental music. The result is a musicality of great evocative power.
The name Metralli carries within itself the mystery of metal and the measure of the non-measurable and blends several words related to the idea of transmutation: that is, the sense of a music made up of several pieces of music. Ancient and future music, folk and electric, popular and experimental, in a word Avantique.
Metralli wins the Ciampi 2012 Prize with the songs “Piovevo” and “La sciancata”. The second album “A few grams of gravity” is selected among the best 50 albums of the year by the 2014 Tenco Award commission, the video “Song of the travelers” is selected at the New York Independent Film Festival.
